The C. Neil Sharp Trust

Each year an S5 ESMS pupil is selected to take part in the prestigious Outward Bound Award, provided by the C. Neil Sharp Trust. The outdoor education award involves a two-week residential course at the Loch Eil Outdoor Centre in Lochaber.

Neil Sharp (DSC 1930) was fond of hillwalking and the outdoors and was a strong believer in the wider benefits young people could enjoy from engaging in outdoor pursuits and activities. As a result, he was a great supporter of the Outward Bound Trust in bringing young people of all backgrounds together to work as one in meeting challenges and pursuing common goals.
