Join us for the first ever virtual Inspire Lecture, featuring guest speaker Felicity Aston.
The lecture will be delivered via Zoom on Monday 2 November from 7.30pm. The session, including Q&A, will last around an hour and tickets can be booked here.
Tickets will be £10 per household (each family will require only one ticket to attend).
Felicity Aston is the only woman in the world to ski across Antarctica alone. The 1744 km, 59-day journey completed in January 2012 also made her the first person to traverse the continent purely by muscle power without the aid of kites or machines, earning her a place in the Guiness Book of Records. In 2015 she was awarded the Queen's Polar Medals for services in Antarctica and was appointed MBE for services to Polar Exploration.
The subject of this Inspire Lecture will be Felicity's recent Euro-Arabian expedition to the North Pole, a motivating story all about broadening horizons and overcoming adversity in all its guises.
